Our Clinical Services
Child Health
Please make an appointment with the doctor when your baby is 8 weeks old for a routine health check.
Health Checks
All of our new patients have a Health check if they are over the age of 15yrs. Our Nurse or Health Care Assistant will check weight, height, blood pressure and note any history that would be necessary for our GP's to be aware of. Our patients can also book to have regular blood pressure checks on site.
Home Visits
Patients are generally seen at the surgery, but between the hours of 8.30 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Friday, patients may be seen at home if the doctor considers a home visit necessary because of the patient’s medical condition. Please call the surgery as soon as possible in the morning if you believe a home visit to be necessary.
Maternity
We have a first-class midwifery service. The midwife will be able to offer help and support throughout your pregnancy to when your child is born and immediately afterward.
If you are absent from work less than 7 days, including a weekend, a Self Certification Form can be obtained from your employer. Doctor's Certificates are only required for absences of more than 7 days and cannot be issued for shorter periods. Only absences of seven days or longer require a certificate which can be obtained by the doctor.
Family Planning
Our Practice Nursing team are here to give advice on contraception, they are also qualified to give teenage pregnancy advice.
Holiday travel
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to speak to a receptionist and make a telephone appointment with the Practice Nurse to discuss your travel arrangements.
Long Term Conditions
Our nursing team review most long term conditions where the patient is stable, more complicated cases are referred to the GPs for assessment and appropriate action.
